TRAINING

The instructors must follow a special training in order to meet the position requirements. Experience with abseiling and/or rock climbing is preferable.

The Chief instructor/site manager should hold a high rope course qualification.

Instructors need to:

Run the day to day activities (log book; equipment, briefing and watching customers).
Permanent visual check and maintenance of individual security equipment and of the general structure.
Brief the customers
Control the equipments
Master different technics of emergency evacuation

Instructors have to brief the clients on safety issues and assess them on a practice course. The briefing is a very important part of the safety of the clients.

A group can request to be accompanied by an instructor. He will be taking full responsibility of the persons in his group from start to finish of the course. Staffs will also be in charge of the evacuation procedure. They will patrol the course regularly and will be on hand to assist where necessary. Special equipment can be used to lower people safely to the ground.

A training of around 40 hours is organised for our staff. The chief instructor will subsequently be able to provide training to new instructors.
