A minimum of 30 challenges is necessary to start a TTAP. Generally a TTAP should have 4 to 12 courses, each of them comprising between 8 and 16 challenges. European TTAP have on average around 65 challenges. Usually courses should be of different difficulty levels. As an example, the table below shows the different categories of courses we recommend.

Once the choices of size and challenges have been made, the design of the final courses is based on a detailed study of the land topography and position of trees as well as a throughout study of the health of the trees.
